roston.kirk@gmail.com

Roston Kirk is an upper semester student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He is a double major in Film Scoring/Music Synthesis, and works as a Professional Bassist across the country.

Starting at the age of 12, with the Baritone Saxophone and studies in composition, music was THE option. Roston has never looked back, working steadily from the get go, to establish himself as a sought-after Musician, Composer, and Synthesist.

As a Bassist, he has opened for artists Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Sugarland, and Vince Gill, and traveled overseas for a tour with Armed Forces Entertainment from March 12th-30th in Southwest Asia. Roston has also held the bass chair for Berklee's most prestigious shows, including Singer's Showcase, Singer's Night and the Berklee Reverence Gospel Choir. He is also the busiest work-study bassist at the school, hired for the Berklee Guitar Sessions, The Berklee Percussion Festival, Five-Week, Stage Performance Workshop, Saxophone Weekend, Singer-Songwriter Showcase, the Berklee Brass Weekend, and dozens of labs for current students in the Voice, Guitar, and Piano Departments. Outside of Berklee, Roston gigs 100 + times a year, with numerous artists including Diggerdawg, Alli Beaudry, and Condestin.

As a Composer, Roston has also been active. Having already scored two short films, he will start on his third in April, entitled "The Card Game" by Yale Graduate Student, Luca Shapiro. He has been awarded the E.O. Smith composition award, and has interned at several scoring studios in the New England area, learning the tools of the trade. Having finished most of his film scoring classes, he is now delving into Music Synthesis, to fully round out his education, learning the technology skills that are sought-after in the Los Angeles and New York City Film and Music Industries.
